Acupuncture, Ultrasound and Laser |

Acupuncture is a proven method of pain relief for musculo-skeletal problems and is recognised to promote good health. Acupuncture involves the insertion of fine needles at chosen points. These points may be local to the painful area. Additional recognised pain-reliving points may also be used. Ros and Stella use Acupuncture to complement their physiotherapy treatment plan. If you are interested in Acupuncture we will provide you with an information sheet providing further details. Ultrasound and laser are used to stimulate healing and gain pain relief for soft tissue injuries. Ultrasound therapy is ultrasonic waves applied to the body to help stimulate blood flow to the injured area. This process aids removal of inflammatory toxins, improves nutritional circulation in the area and assists healing |
Pilates and Rehabilitation |
Pilates is a mind-body conditioning programme that targets the deep postural muscles
of the abdomen and spine to improve overall core stability and posture. Pilates
has been shown to be very important for the prevention and rehabilitation
of back injuries. We offer one-one pilates training as part of our physiotherapy
treatment programme as required. We are also experienced in rehabilitation after
joint/muscle surgery, fractures and work-related pain. |
